. U.S. entertainer. Mr. Foy, born Edwin Fitzgerald, was a vaudevillian for more than 50 years. He formed a family act with his children in 1910, and "Eddie Foy and The Seven Little Foys" became an American sensation. Mr. Foy was headlining a show in Kansas City when he died of a heart attack, 22 days before his 72nd birthday.

Three weeks of clashes between Israeli and Jordanian forces along the Jordan River concluded with Israeli planes hitting military targets up to 10 miles inside Jordan.
